This page summarizes the main categories of personal data used to operate Eve Chat and the rights available to users under GDPR.
1. What data is processed
Eve Chat may process account identifiers, email address, profile information, uploaded media, contact request records, chat metadata, and moderation or abuse-report information. Where a phone number is collected in the future (for example for account verification), it is processed as account data.
2. Why the data is used
- To create and maintain user accounts.
- To operate profile discovery, contact requests, and messaging.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and enforce platform rules.
- To investigate reports, enforce bans, and prevent banned users from circumventing enforcement.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. Legal bases
Processing may be based on contract performance, legitimate interests in operating a safe service and preventing abuse or ban evasion, legal compliance, and consent where the product flow specifically requests it.
4. Retention
Data is retained only for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve abuse or security issues, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain service integrity. When an account is terminated, related personal data is deleted or anonymized, except where limited records must be kept for legal or safety reasons. For accounts that were blocked and terminated for violations, we may keep a minimal, one-way pseudonymized identifier — and, where a phone number is collected in the future, a hashed identifier derived from it — for up to ten years. This is done under our legitimate interest in preventing a banned user from evading enforcement by deleting and recreating an account; the identifier cannot be used to contact you or to reconstruct the original data.

- Some requests, such as erasure, may be limited where we are required to keep minimal records to meet legal obligations or to prevent ban evasion.
