Terms and conditions
These terms govern access to Eve Chat, the related website, and the mobile application experience made available through the service.
1. Service scope
Eve Chat provides profile discovery, contact request handling, and one-to-one messaging features. Access may evolve as the product changes.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for ensuring that the information you provide during registration and profile setup is accurate.
3. Acceptable use and prohibited content
By using Eve Chat you agree not to post, send, upload, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive. Eve Chat operates a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and for abusive users.
- Do not harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, or defraud other users.
- Do not post sexually explicit material, pornography, or nudity where it is not permitted, and never any sexual content involving minors.
- Do not upload or share illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism or violence, or content that infringes the rights of others.
- Do not use explicit, hateful, or threatening language, or share content that promotes self-harm, discrimination, or violence.
- Do not share other people's private or intimate images or personal information without their consent.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass service limits, moderation, or security protections.
We use automated on-device checks together with human review of reports to detect and act on violations.
4. Reporting, blocking, and safety tools
You can report content or another account directly in the app, and you can block any user to immediately stop further contact. We aim to review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours, which may include removing content or warning, blocking, suspending, or terminating the accounts involved.
5. Moderation, bans, and account cancellation
Where misuse, safety issues, or legal obligations require it, Eve Chat may restrict content, issue warnings, temporarily block accounts, or permanently ban a user. Repeated or serious violations — including explicit, illegal, non-consensual, or other harmful content — can lead to a permanent ban and to the cancellation and termination of your account. You must not attempt to evade a ban, including by deleting and recreating an account.
6. Data retention after account termination
When an account is terminated, related personal data is deleted or anonymized as described on our GDPR and privacy page, except where limited information must be kept to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent banned users from circumventing enforcement. Where we collect a phone number in the future, a one-way, pseudonymized identifier derived from it may be retained for up to ten years, but only for accounts that were blocked and terminated, and solely to prevent the creation of a new account that evades the ban.
7. Availability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. Features, routes, and access methods may change without notice during ongoing product development.
